In this senior role, you will lead a high-performing team and drive strategic partnerships with key Third Party Administrator (TPA) firms. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our TPA channel strategy, positioning Manulife John Hancock as the Partner of Choice in the retirement plan industry.

Manulife John Hancock is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as AVP, Regional TPA Channel Leader. In this senior role, you will lead a high-performing team and drive strategic partnerships with key Third Party Administrator (TPA) firms. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our TPA channel strategy, positioning Manulife John Hancock as the Partner of Choice in the retirement plan industry. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to grow business with strategic TPA partners. Partnership Development: Collaborate with TPA Channel Directors and National TPA Director to build joint business plans that drive mutual growth and success. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal sales teams and business units to align efforts and maximize partner engagement. Brand Advocacy: Elevate the Manulife John Hancock brand within the TPA ecosystem and serve as the primary liaison for assigned firms. Industry Engagement: Represent the company at industry events and conferences, ensuring strong visibility and thought leadership. Product & Market Expertise: Keep TPA partners informed about new products, services, and value propositions. Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes. Internal Influence: Advocate for TPA needs across internal initiatives and workgroups, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Head of Strategic Partnerships, tracking progress against KPIs and strategic objectives. Team & Budget Management: Oversee travel, budgets, and performance of Regional Channel Directors. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 8 years in strategic business development within the retirement plan industry, working with TPAs or in a TPA firm. Licensing: Series 6 and 63 licenses (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire). Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ERISA regulations and retirement plan design. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in both public speaking and one-on-one settings.
