The Senior Coordinator, Transition supports implementation consultants in the smooth transition from point-of-sale through hand-off to the client services and administration teams. This position is responsible for the intake of new and conversion plan paperwork on all appropriate systems within the department. Additionally, this position is responsible for implementing plans on the recordkeeping system, requiring the ability to interpret the plan documents and a deep understanding of the recordkeeping system. The position is responsible for establishing the appropriate investments and sources, inputting plan provisions, generating 404a5 disclosures and enrollment materials, and establishing participant records with the appropriate employment and plan status. This role will be involved in implementing new retirement plans, communicating with all stakeholders. This role serves as a liaison between the client, financial advisor, any additional third party administrator and internal partners during the plan implementation, owning the full timeline.

Position Location:

  • This position is remote and does not require regular in-office presence.

What you do:

  • Completes the quality check of all received transition paperwork ensuring all information is included.
  • Updates the workflow system to reflect milestone events with the transition process/plan.
  • Establishes plan in recordkeeping system.
  • Attaches investments and creates accounts and sources in recordkeeping system.
  • Interprets plan document and input plan provisions into recordkeeping system.
  • Inputs fee schedules and prepares plan notices for approval.
  • Prepares and orders enrollment materials.
  • Prepares and imports employee census data into the recordkeeping system and maps contribution rates and deferral elections.
  • Prepares and imports historical payroll data in the recordkeeping system.
  • Be a resource to assist other lines of business where there is greater demand.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business-related field required
  • 1-3 years of experience in working with retirement plans
  • Multiple Employer Plan experience a plus but not required
